Because Jesus is worth more than anything we possess, His followers are called to hold possessions, relationships, abilities, and accomplishments loosely, surrendering everything to Him with the assurance that the spiritual riches of knowing Christ and receiving eternal life far outweigh anything sacrificed for His sake.
