Pastor Scott teaches that Jesus knowingly and willingly went to Jerusalem to fulfill Scripture through His suffering, death, and resurrection, giving His life as a ransom for sinners even though He fully understood the terrible cost that awaited Him. While the disciples struggled to understand a Messiah whose path to glory led through the cross, the gospel reveals that Christ’s sacrificial death and victorious resurrection were God’s purposeful plan to redeem, justify, and give eternal life to those who believe.
